 You've been with Ultimate Homes & Renovations as Production Manager sin ce 1998. You must have seen it all over the years. What would you say is the top challenge in managing the Production Department? Scheduling Resources: There are many variables in the broader field of Production Management, and specifically in Project Management as well. Those variables are continually changing daily, sometimes hourly, and you're managing them across multiple projects while always being fair with everyone involved (vendors, clients, employees etc.). Say, for example, a resource has an unexpected family commitment out of town and needs to be away for a few days. Also assume that any suitable alternative resource is scheduled elsewhere and unavailable. Lastly, the task to be completed needs to be finished before the next task can begin (in Production Management, we refer to this as being part of the critical path). Thinking Outside The Baby Shower Gift Box

 Baby Showers are thrown to " shower gifts " upon the mother to be. Adding a baby to the family requires adding a lot of new inventory to the medicine cabinet and food pantry. It also means you have to fill dresser drawers and changing tables with the many supplies that will be used in the care of the new baby. The new baby will likely receive all sorts of baby bottles and tiny little one piece outfits with cute pictures on them. There will be bottle upon bottle of lotions and soaps to keep the new arrival smelling fresh and sweet. Then there will be the tiny socks in the soft pastel colors to make those little baby feet nice and warm. Stop just for a moment, if you will, and think about mom. While I am sure that mom will be 100% grateful for all of the above-mentioned shower gifts, these gifts are technically for the baby and not for mom.  Baby showers have long been a staple in many families. The women gather to bestow gifts on the expectant mother and ooh and ah over little bibs and stuffed animals. Today, the gender reveal party is gaining traction where the family ( boys and girls together for this one ) gathers and the gender of the impending arrival is shown to all. Will the balloons, confetti, smoke, streamers, etc. be blue or pink? What will baby be? Of course if you have a party you have to have some sort of food for the guests. Yes, you can make it a potluck where everyone in attendance brings a dish or two, or you as host can do it all alone, making little blue cupcakes or icing little pink cookies.
